Phenomenal electro/acoustic duo ”Symbio” are one of the most prominent bands in the progressive Folk & World music scene.  Virtuoso playing of hurdy-gurdy and accordion produce an unbelievably full-bodied sound, firmly rooted in Nordic tradition, with an electronic dance music sensibility. Dazzling musicians both, Johannes Geworkian Hellman and accordionist LarsEmil Öjeberget mix film music, techno and Scandinavian folk for an invigorating and emotional listening experience. 

Since 2016 Symbio has toured extensively in more than 20 countries in Europe and North America, delighting at festivals and venues alike, including Cambridge Folk Festival and Celtic Connections, becoming known for their electrifying stage presence and embracing the audience.  

Their third album Endeavour was awarded ”Best Album of the Year” at the Swedish Folk & World Music Awards 2023.
